Code of Conduct

Co-working Thursdays – Code of Conduct

A warm, supportive, safe space for women to work, connect and thrive.

Co-working Thursdays is built on kindness, collaboration and community. To help keep our space safe, supportive and enjoyable for everyone, we ask all attendees to follow our Code of Conduct:

1. Be Kind, Considerate & Respectful

We operate on good vibes only.
Please treat everyone with kindness, respect and consideration – whether that’s attendees, hosts and the venue staff.
No judgment, no belittling, no passive-aggressive digs. Just supportive, grown-woman energy.

2. A Safe, Confidential & Trust-Based Space

We want you to feel comfortable sharing ideas, challenges and early-stage plans.

Everything shared in the room stays in the room.

This means:

  • Do not copy or use someone else’s ideas without their explicit permission.

  • Respect the courage it takes to share.

  • Lift each other up. Don’t compete or undermine.

  • We’re here to inspire each other, not to sneakily “borrow” someone’s spark.

3. Inclusivity Matters

Co-working Thursdays is a women-centred space.
All women are welcome, including trans women and non-binary people who feel aligned with our community.
We celebrate diversity and kindness in all its forms.

4. Support Each Other Wholeheartedly

Offer encouragement. Share knowledge. Cheer loudly.
A good guiding principle:
Bring as much to the table as you take away.

5. No Hard Selling

We love collaboration, networking and helping each other grow.
But this isn’t a sales event.
No pushy pitches, no pressure, no awkward “soooo… have you thought about signing up?” moments.
Let connections happen naturally.

6. Respect Ideas, Opinions & Working Styles

Some come to chat. Some come to power through a to-do list.
Be mindful of noise, focus time and personal boundaries.
If someone’s wearing headphones or deep in the zone, let them be.

If you choose to collaborate outside the event, do so respectfully and professionally.

7. Photography & Social Media

We love capturing our beautiful community for socials.
If you don’t want to appear in photos or videos, just let us know.

We may still film with you in the shot, but we’ll make sure your face doesn’t hit the gram!
If you post, we’d love it if you could please tag our Instagram account @coworking_thursdays so we can spread the co-working message and, of course, celebrate you too. 💕

8. Gossip-Free & Drama-Free Zone

We keep conversations constructive, positive and supportive.
No gossip, no cliques, no tearing down.
This is a space where women build each other up.

9. Shared Space, Shared Responsibility

Please be mindful with:

  • Noise levels

  • Power sockets

  • Communal tables

  • Tidy-up areas

  • Personal boundaries

Let’s keep the space lovely for everyone.

10. Personal Safety & Belongings

Please keep an eye on your own items.
We also look out for each other, in a warm, non-intrusive way.

11. Conversations with Consent

People may share vulnerable, emotional, or personal things.
Listen with empathy, respond with care and remember: Supportive conversations require kindness and consent.

12. Wi-Fi & Tech Use

Free public Wi-Fi is available, but due to Whinstone View’s semi-rural location it can sometimes be a little slow.

A good tip is to bring some work/admin etc that can be done with a pen and paper or requires no internet connection and please plan accordingly.

13. If Something Feels Off…

Come to us.

If you feel uncomfortable, unsure, or experience anything that doesn’t feel right, speak to a host privately.

We’ll handle things sensitively, respectfully and discreetly.

Thank you for helping us create a safe, uplifting, and empowering space for women to work, connect, and grow. We’re so glad you’re here.
